Thunder Tigers AT-3 mid-air collision

Two of the Taiwan Air Force aerobatic team “Thunder Tigers” AT-3 training jet aircraft, collided in mid-air during training flight. The planes took off from Gangshan Air Force Base at 3:37 p.m. for formation training and collided 33 minutes later at 16,000 feet altitude and a speed of 300 miles per hour.

Today turns 30 years since Thunderbirds Diamond Crash

On January 18, 1982, during a training flight four of Thunderbirds T-38 Talon aircraft crashed at Indian Springs, Nevada. The diamond performed loop in a line abreast, when the leader's plane received mechanical failure, which does not allow it to exit from loop.

Team Viper are disbanded

The only one present Hunter display team that flies four Hawker Hunter aircraft is now history, said their facebook page. Formed in 2009 flying then BAC 167 Strikemaster (team's name came from this aircraft engine - Armstrong Siddeley Viper), they transited to Hunters in 2010. Team Viper was the civil aerobatic display team based at Exeter Airport, UK composed of military and civilian pilots, led by Chris Heames.
