LT Amanda ‘STALIN’ Lee, is chosen to be the first female jet demo pilot for the Blue Angels Demonstration Squadron ever.
LT Lee is currently a demonstration pilot for Rhino Demo Team, flying the F/A-18 Super Hornet. She is assigned to “Gladiators” of Strike Fighter Squadron VFA-106.
LT Amanda ‘STALIN’ Lee is one of six new officers selected to join the 2023 Blue Angels. She will be joined by another Super Hornet pilot, LCDR Thomas Zimmerman, and new “Fat Albert” pilot, Marine Corps CAPT Samuel Petko flying the team’s C-130J Super Hercules. Other officers chosen are LCDR Brian Vaught as the team’s Events Coordinator, LCDR Greg Jones as Maintenance Officer, and LT Philippe Warren as the new Flight Surgeon.
Lee will join the Blue Angels team this fall. The team’s first public air show for 2023 season will take place at NAF El Centro, Calif. on March 11, 2023.
