The Italian Air Force aerobatic team Frecce Tricolori will fly new planes from 2017-2020, as the present aircraft Aermacchi MB339A to be retired until then.
The new plane for the team will be Italian made Alenia Aermacchi M-345 HET (High Efficiency Trainer), announced Italian Minister of Defense Mario Mauro, on September 24.
The team flew MB339 since 1980, as previously they use Canadair CL-13 Sabre Mk.4 and Fiat G91 aircraft.
