The RAF aerobatic team Red Arrows cancelled the display at Rhyl Air Show today as the Red 6 suffered a broken canopy, because of bird srike.
While performing a Synchro Pair maneuver, Red6 Squadron Leader Gregor Ogston's aircraft was hit by a seagull, causing shattering of his canopy.
Squadron Leader Gregor Ogston veered the damaged aircraft away from the crowd and landed safely and uninjured at Hawarden Airport, where the Red Arrows were based for this weekend airshow.
