Following the 151st Air Refueling Wing Facebook post, which shows Blue Angels refueling on their flight back home to NAS Pensacola on March 15, the The Aviation Geek Club website noticed that the squadron still flying one Legacy Hornet.
This is the two-seat F/A-18D Hornet still flying with the Blue Angels colors.
The team now equipped with a new aircraft F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet and completed the winter training at El Centro.
The first airshow with the new Super Hornets was on March 13 at El Centro, as the first public airshow was planned for 10-11 April at NAS JAX Air Show, NAS Jacksonville, FL. Sadly the airshow was cancelled and so the next is Sun N' Fun Aerospace Expo, Lakeland, FL scheduled for 17-18 April.
