Thunderbirds bird-strike at Las Vegas flyover

Thunderbirds #4

Many of us noticed that USAF Thunderbirds flew over Las Vegas on Saturday with five-ship formation and many questions has been released why. The squadron performed a flyover Las Vegas to support the healthcare workers and first responders who are on the frontlines combatting COVID-19.

The #4 Slot aircraft received a bird-strike during the flyover and the pilot Maj. Zane Taylor was forced to leave the formation and land back to Nellis AFB safely.

This is a routine procedure when a bird hit a demonstration aircraft.

The other pilots completed the planned flyover with no any problems.
