Thunderbirds bird strike incident at Colorado Springs
The Thunderbirds #3 aircraft involved in bird strike after USAF Academy graduation flyover in Colorado Springs on May 30. The incident happened in mid-air and the pilot Capt. Michael Brewer immediately returned to nearby Peterson Air Force Base where landed safely.
In 2016 graduation flyover, Thunderbirds again strike the bad luck, when #6 Maj. Alex Turner ejected from his aircraft.
