The US Air Force Demonstration Squadron - The Thunderbirds will visit Europe in 2017 show season, unfortunately for just one display. The squadron will perform at Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford, United Kingdom on 14-16 July 2017.
The Thunderbirds’ last visit to Europe was in 2011, when the team visits Turkey, UK, Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, Denmark, Finland and Belgium. Then they flew only in Waddington Air Show in UK. So now, The Thunderbirds will visit RIAT.
The occasion for the “extreme” Thunderbirds visit is the 70th anniversary of the US Air Force, which Air Tattoo organizers planed to mark. Initially part of the United States Army, the USAF was formed as a separate branch on 18 September 1947.
