Three Gallant Souls

History

The "Three Gallant Souls" were a US NAVY aerobatic display team formed in 1929 from the 5th Training Squadron at NAS Pensacola. They began flying with Curtiss F6C-4 fighters, but transitioned to Boeing F4B-1 airplanes in 1930. Then from 1931 until its disbandment, the "Three Gallant Souls" flew Boeing F2B-1 fighters. This team proved to be the last US NAVY demonstration team before the World War II.
