Berkuts
History
The "Berkuts" aerobatic display team from the Russian Air Force fly Mi-24 attack helicopters. The team was first established in 1992. The actual number of Mi-24s used during the team's demonstrations is variable and, to date, they have only performed displays in Russia.
Berkuts made its first public appearance with Mi-28 on 12 August at Zhukovsky airfield, during Russian Air Force 100 anniversary airshow. The team starts transition to the new machines in the beginning of 2012 in preparation for this event. All Mi-28s are serial helicopters from Torzhok Air Base and does not have any special painting.
